Since 1928, J. D’Amico has served the public sector in the greater Boston area.
It all started when our family patriarch immigrated to America from Italy. James D’Amico began his business installing a water main under the sidewalks of Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue, and soon became a leader in the industry.
Grandfather James had three sons devoted to the family business:
Together, they gained valuable experience that enabled J. D’Amico to contract progressively difficult projects, targeting Municipal Utilities. Before long, war divided the family as Neno enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II — and Paul William represented the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Joe continued working alongside his father to cultivate the family business. When the soldiers returned from war, an influx of housing construction ignited the need for municipal sewers and clean drinking water. Business was booming!
In the early 60's James retired, leaving Joe at the helm of a successful business as President of J. D’Amico, working hand-in-hand with his brothers Neno and Paul William. |

Neno’s son and son-in-law:
In 2004, Jim C., Paul Anthony, Anthony and Jim B. became owners, as the second generation stepped into retirement. |

As J. D’Amico enters the 21st century—the 4th generation of D’Amico's has arrived to join in the family business and carry on the tradition for generations to come.
From humble beginnings, our family business has managed and constructed projects that range from 50 thousand to 9 million dollars.
“The D’Amico family is proud to work in this industry that has a direct impact on our society.”
